This is an autographed photo signed To Bob Best of Luck Darryl Hickman. Hickman (b. 1931) was a child actor and older brother to Dobie Gillis actor Dwayne Hickman. He is best known for appearing in the 1939 movie The Grapes of Wrath, but he appeared in a number of other movies. He continued acting with the exception of a brief break in 1951 when he entered a monastery as a monk and when he served in the army from 1956 to 1958. He appeared on his brothers sitcom The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis as well as westerns like Gunsmoke and Rawhide. His acting career continued well into the 1980s and, besides acting, he served as a television executive, a producer and an occasional screenwriter (The Loretta Young Show). Ive provided extreme close-ups of the signature and Im unsure if he signed it or if a secretary did so as the signature does not compare favourably with other autographs by him that I have seen online. The photo is being sold as is and even if the autograph is not personally signed, this is a nice photo of Hickman. This photo is framed under glass and the frame measures 4 3/4 by 6 3/4. It is in very good condition. This is a nice collectible photo of child actor in his teenage years - Hickman went on to become a journeyman actor and someone who spent his life in the entertainment business
